About Us

Who Are We?

We are a group of friends who have many skills in permaculture, organic growing, sustainable design, and low impact living. We are all passionate about living sustainably, fresh organic foods and sharing time and knowledge with others.

What do we do?

We are in the midst of our second season on the farm, and the challenges of wild weather and deficiencies in labour are having interesting results(!). We are concentrating on the Earth Care and People Care ethics this year and enjoy lots of time with eachother, working the land gently, drinking endless cups of tea and generally putting the world to rights! Music and laughter are also on the menu. Observation of our natural world is revealing interesting patterns of unrest which are leading to slower crop development and more pests than normal. However, ballance restores itself in the long run, and we continue to learn from what we see and feel.

We provide a supportive environment for educational workshops, courses and public access, to actively participate and learn how to grow organically, live sustainably, gain experience of low-impact living, working co-operatively through community activities, and generally meet and share our space with others.

Throughout the seasons, we hold regular outdoor events and festival celebrations to mark the turning of the year. We post info on these events in our Forum so keep a look out for dates.

We host seminars and road shows around the county on many subjects relating to sustainability. If you would like us to speak at your events, please contact us and we can tailor it to suit your requirements. Again, we will be posting dates for the venues we are attending or organizing, so keep a look out for them too!

We hope you enjoy the site, and post any comments, as we welcome your views.

Our Aims.

In addition to our activities, we also provide access to the land and skill exchange for local people. Why? Because there are many people, who need access to re-learning skills that will be needed in the near future as more and more towns across the UK enter Transition from oil dependancy to local resilience. By sharing our land with more people, a more connected community is being created. we are hopefully leading by our living example on how to live low impact and in harmony with our natural environment. Long term aims are to buy a large acreage of land including mixed woodland, where we and other members are able to live sustainably whilst sharing the land with many local people as we do now.

We are also keen to involve more local people in creating their own Organic Enterprise. We have land available to share and many outlets waiting for produce - so, if you are looking to start farming sustainably please get in touch and we can discuss your ideas!

This site will hopefully answer many questions, and will raise many! We will update it at least every month, and the Forum will grow with the site and with input from YOU.
